Antique calling card case beautifully constructed in mother-of-pearl with a geometric diamond/harlequin pattern. The hinged lid opens to reveal the original fitted interior with deep red velvet lining. No losses to the MOP and the clasps still closes very well.
Even better, the case retains two original calling cards for Miss Thalia Wells, giving the piece a lovely personal connection to its original owner.
There is some expected age-related wear, including surface marks and minor wear around the edges and fittings, as shown in the photos.
