Charming antique European landscape painting depicting a tranquil lake scene with sailboats, distant mountains, birds and trees along the shoreline. Painted on a thin artist’s board and presented in an ornate gilt frame.
Unsigned. Believed to date to the late 19th to early 20th century. Acquired in Ireland.
This one has clearly seen a lot in its lifetime, and its timeworn condition is part of its charm. The painting has scratches, marks, surface wear and areas of paint loss. The gilt frame also shows wear and losses, and the old paper backing is torn. Please review photos closely for condition.
There is currently no hanging hardware attached; hardware will need to be added for wall display.
