A beautiful antique Copeland blue transferware four-piece soup tureen set, dating to the 1870s and produced by the renowned Copeland pottery works in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.

This complete Victorian set includes the tureen, matching lid, underplate, and original ladle. Decorated in a delicate blue transfer print, each piece features romantic English landscapes with castles, bridges, rivers, and pastoral scenery framed by an elegant lace-like border with scrolling motifs. The original ladle and matching underplate make this an increasingly difficult set to find complete.

The impressed and printed Copeland marks are consistent with production during the 1870s, when Copeland was producing some of England's finest transferware for both the domestic and export markets.

7.75" high x 8" wide including underplate

Very good antique condition with expected age-related crazing, light staining, and minor wear consistent with over 140 years of use. No major cracks noted on the underplate or tureen while the spoon as a hairline. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
